Admissions Process
Many people find the very idea of entering a rehab facility daunting. We at the Pasadena Recovery Center want to ease your fears and assure you that we will be here with you every step of the way. Many people believe that the hardest step is the very first one – contacting us – and then it gets progressively easier. Here’s what you should expect from the admissions process:
Contact us.
Call one of our trained intake specialist toll free for a confidential assessment at (866) 663-3030. We will go over everything you need to know during this brief conversation as well as answer all of your questions. If it’s mutually determined that Pasadena Recovery Center is a good fit for you, you can reserve a bed by putting down a small deposit on a credit card. Note, we accept most insurance.
What to bring.
For a typical 30 day stay we recommend bringing two weeks of clothing, toiletries, reading material, an iPod (without wifi and/or camera), prescribed medication, a calling card, $100-$150 spending money for the store, and your favorite pillow. We do, however, provide bedding and pillows.
Arrival.
If you live locally you should obtain a ride to our Pasadena location. If you are coming from out of state we will pick you up at airport baggage claim. Once here, you will meet with a staff member to go over paperwork, take a baseline drug screening, and get assigned a counselor. We will then assign you a room and search your bags in your presence.
Assign a buddy.
We normally try to match incoming clients with an experienced resident in order to facilitate the acclimation process.
And that’s generally it.
Sure there are other things that pop up here and there but the above covers the essentials. And, again, we will walk you through every step. We understand that embarking on an unknown path is stressful and we will do everything possible to make your journey comfortable.
